HEAD OF OPERATIONS


Location: Kelowna, BC

KAN Recruitment is looking for a Head of Operations for a very well established Kelowna company. As an ideal candidate, you are a leader with previous managerial experience. You’ll have proven experience overseeing operations, you are an expert communicator with a strong ability to delegate responsibilities and collaborate across a wide range of departments.

We are looking for a self-motivated and results-driven general manager to direct and manage the organization's business activities and to develop and implement effective business strategies and programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategic plans for optimized productivity

  • Review and improve organizational effectiveness by developing processes, overseeing employees, establishing a highly motivated work environment, and creating innovative approaches for improvement

  • Uphold standards of excellence and quality to ensure we meet and exceed our service level expectations (“Compliance”)

  • Seek out opportunities for expansion and growth within Operations

  • Recruit, onboard, and train high-performing employees

  • Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished on time

  • Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans

  • Delegate responsibilities to the best employees to perform them while enforcing all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values

  • Quality Control

  • Oversee company fleet, maintenance of vehicles, and ensure minimal vehicle downtime

  • Oversee on call and emergency response teams

  • Oversee, develop, and train Project Coordinators

  • Oversee and manage monthly inventory and ordering of supplies and equipment

  • Work with Operations Manager, Operation Supervisors, Branch Manager, and Lead Technicians to accomplish daily and monthly responsibilities

  • Collaborate with, provide input, and report to Sr Leadership team

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, assigning weekly performance goals and assuring their completion, while accomplishing your own goals

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field

  • Previous performance evaluation experience

  • Working knowledge of human resources processes

  • Experience in managing service-related industry

  • Strong working knowledge of operational procedures

  • Ability to motivate and lead people, and hold employees accountable

  • Proven ability to develop and maintain financial plans

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and delegation skills

  • Strong decision-making capabilities
