PAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR
Location: Kelowna, BC

Our Kelowna, BC client is seeking an experienced payroll administrator to join their team. This role will report directly to the Manager of Finance and will process payroll for Hourly, Salary and Commission employees.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for payroll and benefits for company
• Responsible for full payroll lifecycle
• Work with all department managers to collect info and prepare payroll
• Manage and process the payroll through one consolidated system: UKG, formerly Ultimate Kronos Group (a similar program to UKG is ADP Workforce)
• Monitor, review, and follow up on timecard entries and troubleshoot any issues that arise for all hourly employees
• Issue new timecards for new hires, dealing with timecard issues
• Manage company policies to ensure compliance for vacation entitlement, bereavement, sick time, and other leave policies we have in place
• Responsible for year end processing and CRA remittance requirements (T4 process, T4A's, T2200's, WSIB, EHT, etc.)
• Report monthly RRSP contributions to finance for payment
• Preparing various payroll reports as needed by management
• Assisting in special projects related to payroll as needed (system changes, new policy rollouts, efficiency efforts, etc.)
• Assist in HR activities as needed and work with other team members who look after various HR responsibilities in the organization
• Build and maintain process documentation and payroll handbook
• Assist with other duties as required that overlap with the payroll function
Requirements:
• Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) or Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) designation, or working towards designation preferred
• Experience at a larger corporation/business (ideally 100+ employees)
• Have experience as a payroll administrator or at least have been responsible for the major payroll functions of an organization to be able to handle the requirements of the responsibilities noted above
• Experience with UKG is considered an asset (ADP is a comparable system)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (primarily Excel for reporting)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening), great attention to detail, organized, adheres to confidentiality, self-motivated, and able to work independently
