Sales Manager - Roofing Industry

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 base per year
Our Kelowna, BC Client is a leading roofing company specializing in high-quality roofing solutions, including flat roofing systems are currently seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager to join their team and help grow their business.
The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales, managing client relationships, and preparing accurate and detailed estimates for roofing projects. This role requires in-depth knowledge of flat roofing systems, including torch-on and TPO, to ensure precise project assessments and cost-effective proposals. The ideal candidate will excel at site evaluations, client engagement, and cross-functional collaboration to drive business success.
Responsibilities:
Conduct site visits to assess roofing project requirements, take accurate measurements, and identify any unique project challenges.
Prepare comprehensive estimates, including material, labor, and time requirements, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other project documents to determine accurate scopes and costs.
Collaborate with sales and project management teams to ensure seamless project handoffs and successful execution.
Engage with clients to present estimates, answer questions, and make necessary adjustments to proposals.
Source and evaluate pricing from suppliers to optimize cost-effective material selection.
Maintain organized records of estimates, client communications, and project documents for future reference and reporting.
Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, including preparing and presenting project proposals and estimates to potential clients.
Assist with bidding on new customer contracts to expand business opportunities.
Maintain and promote relationships with current builders to ensure repeat business and ongoing partnerships.
Arrange requisite third-party inspections, review inspection reports, and ensure deficiencies are rectified while maintaining good rapport with inspectors.
Negotiate material pricing with suppliers to secure competitive rates and improve profitability.
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
Proven experience in a sales role within the roofing or construction industry would be an assest.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to assess project challenges and provide solutions.
