SALES REPRESENTATIVE - ACCOUNT MANAGER

Our Kelowna, BC Manufacturing client is currently hiring for Sales Representative/Account Manager who is looking to join their successful and professional team. Candidates that have experience working with construction materials on commercial scale would be considered an asset. 

Although knowledge of the building industry is an asset, the company will provide an in depth overview and understanding of the products they offer.

This position will require you to be driven, self-motivated goal-oriented, and have strong communication and strategic skills required for closing jobs. Our client provides a stable employment position for individuals looking for long-term growth within the company.

Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for prospecting and calling on businesses in assigned territory.

  • Introduce products to General Contractors, Architects and ceiling installation companies via phone, email and video conferencing.

  • Sales reps must have understanding of architectural drawings, specifications and project bid process.

  • Sales reps will be assigned region of responsibility that he/she will be developing.

  • Position includes identifying project leads, reaching out to key decision making parties, submitting product information and marketing resources, bidding projects, following up and closing.

  • Communicating with clients to understand their needs and explain product value.

  • Building relationships with clients based on trust and respect.

  • Collaborating with internal departments to facilitate client need fulfillment.

  • Collecting and analyzing data to learn more about consumer behaviour.

  • Maintaining updated knowledge of company products and services.

  • Resolving complaints and preventing additional issues by improving processes. 

Requirements: 

  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation is a big plus.

  • Aggressive but positive, sales-oriented personality

  • Business-like, professional attitude

  • Must be willing to travel to specified territory as required

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to collect, track, and analyze large amounts of data.

  • Adaptability and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent active listening skills.

  • Ability to build rapport and collaborate with others within the company and externally.
