SENIOR DESIGNER/ARCHITECT

Our client is looking to add a Senior Architect/Architectural Designer to their Kamloops office. The ideal candidate is well-rounded, and will be responsible for contributing to the overall design, produce design concepts and work with clients to meet or exceed their goals and objectives. As a leader, you will mentor and communicate the design philosophy and project deliverables to intermediate and junior team members. Responsibilities:
Work with the Associate and/or Director in charge
Initiate and create architectural designs from concept through to construction
Develop presentations
Develop and manage production of contract documents
Develop and coordinate details, drawings and specifications
Integrate and coordinate with other disciplines
Supervise, mentor and review the work of junior staff
Participate in construction assistance reviewing submittals and RFIs, and in field observation
Requirements:
5 years minimum experience in an architectural firm
Demonstrated proficiency through all phases of project development
Proficiency with Revit, Sketch up, AutoCad and MS Office
Competent knowledge of BC building codes, standards and building structures
Previous management experience
Highly organized with the ability to manage time and deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
Desire to grow, mentor, and inspire a team
