Our Kelowna, BC client is looking for a dynamic and self-motivated accounting assistant with AP/AR experience to join their awesome team. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in bookkeeping and accounting. The individual will have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and excellent excel skills.

Responsible for handling and managing our accounts payable and receivables. You will be tasked with receiving, opening, and logging invoices and customer payments into the accounting system, as well as other duties like bank reconciliation, accounts payable invoice, process and enter customer payments, data entry, and expense report handling.

In order for you to be successful in this role, you will need to be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly in Word and Excel. An ideal candidate must have a good understanding of the accounting process. You must also be capable of handling supervisory tasks when needed.

Responsibilities:

· AP, AR, general accounting and administrative responsibilities

· Accounts payable Invoice data entry.

· Accounts Receivables – Collections and customer payment data entry

· General ledger journal entries and credit card and bank account reconciliation.

· Handling payments to vendors in an organized and timely manner.

· Development and maintenance of Excel spreadsheets.

· Internal credit card reconciliation when required.

· Generating monthly reports as required.

· Ensuring imaging of invoice supporting documents is timely and accurately performed.

· Assisting with audit support as necessary.

· Assisting in streamlining the accounts payable and receivable process.

· Expense report handling.

Requirements:

· Two-three years’ experience in bookkeeping/accounting roles.

· Computer Applications include; MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Windows, MS Excel.

· Tight deadlines, Attention to detail, Repetitive tasks, Work under pressure, Fast-paced environment

· Effective interpersonal skills, Organized, Judgement, Accurate, Client focus, Reliability, Dependability, Flexibility

· Detail orientated with high-level of accuracy

· Working independently, also creating team collaboration to solve issues collectively

Salary is based on experience.
