Bookkeeper
Location: West Kelowna, BC
Position Status: OPEN | Salary: $28-$30 per hour
Our West Kelowna client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting overall accounting operations. Responsibilities:
Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
Process invoices, payments, and reconciliations in a timely manner.
Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in all financial transactions.
Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Assist with tax filings, audits, and other regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with internal teams to support financial decision-making.
Requirements:
Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong understanding of financial statements, reconciliations, and general accounting principles.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Diploma or certification in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance (preferred).
