Bookkeeper


Location: West Kelowna, BC
Position Status: OPEN | Salary: $28-$30 per hour

Our West Kelowna client is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting overall accounting operations. Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.

  • Process invoices, payments, and reconciliations in a timely manner.

  • Prepare financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting.

  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy in all financial transactions.

  • Manage payroll processing and ensure compliance with tax regulations.

  • Assist with tax filings, audits, and other regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to support financial decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong understanding of financial statements, reconciliations, and general accounting principles.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.

  • Diploma or certification in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance (preferred).
