CLASS 1 DRIVER
Location: Kelowna, BC
Position Status: OPEN
Our Kelowna, BC client is looking for a licensed truck driver who will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to their customers across Canada. Successful candidates must have a clean driving record and have a Class 1 License with air brakes.
Responsibilities:
Drive long distances to deliver goods to customers.
Load and unload cargo.
Record cargo deliveries.
Refuel and clean vehicle.
Report road incidents to the dispatcher.
Follow traffic laws.
Inspect trucks and record issues.
Follow accident procedures.
Keep an activities log and log hours.
Report mechanical problems to maintenance personnel.
Plan routes using GPS system.
Get goods to the client on time.
Maintain a positive attitude with customers.
Keep commercial driver license up to date.
Keeping the truck and cabin clean during and at the end of the trip to ensure that it retains very excellent condition as the truck is brand new.
When not driving, this position will require some time working in the production facility and have ability to work with your hands
Requirements:
Driver must have solid truck driving experience (prefer 8-10+ years)
Class 1 commercial driver license mandatory
Must have clean driving record
Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
Overnight trips across Canada
Individual must be very well organized and clean
