Delivery Driver
Location: Victoria, BC
Position Status: CLOSED
Our client, an office technology products and solutions company are looking for a new Delivery Driver individual for their Victoria location. Reporting to the Branch Supervisor, the ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service skills by making prompt and courteous deliveries of customer orders. Perform general warehouse duties and customer assistance as needed. Performs all job responsibilities in a safe, timely and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
Driving of 3-ton Truck for customer deliveries
Loading & Unloading of truck accurately and safely
Maintain appropriate licensing, credentials and acceptable driving record.
Conduct self in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
Treat external and internal customers and associates with courtesy and respect.
Fill customer orders by retrieving material from the warehouse and other locations.
Maintain a clean warehouse environment and ensure aisles and walkways are clear.
Ensure material is properly organized.
Assist in maintaining the appearance of the branch as needed. Clean warehouse, etc.
Know location of merchandise in the warehouse. Keep material organized and put away.
Perform vehicle and/or forklift inspections as required, schedule routine or repair maintenance as needed.
Maintain presentable truck appearance, cleaning as needed.
Assist in performance of year-end physical inventories for various branch locations.
Perform other responsibilities as directed.
Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner, following all safety rules.
REQUIREMENTS:
A clean Class 5 driver’s license, and present drivers abstract
Must be physically fit and to able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
Required to take overnight delivery trips.
2+ years of experience as a delivery driver
Ability to read and identify numbers for accurate order filling and receiving of material.
Required to be able to safely operate a Pallet jack and a Stair Climber, training to be provided.
