General Tire Store Manager

Our Kelowna, BC client is looking for a Tire Store General Manager that will responsible for all aspects of the store’s operations. This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced automotive leader who is motivated and strives for excellence.
Prior experience as general manager, store manager, auto dealership, automotive retail, auto sales, retail management, retail manager is very helpful to the success at this job. High-volume tire dealership seeks a full-time automotive general manager to oversee and motivate the talented team of professionals.
The ideal candidate for this position should have a track record of successful management positions with at least 3 years of experience, and a strong desire to succeed with integrity. You will oversee daily operations and assist sales and service managers in setting big but realistic goals.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee daily operations, remedy customer complaints promptly, and ensure customer satisfaction metrics are met
· Complete store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results
· Maintain store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
· Ensuring availability of merchandise and services by maintaining inventories
· Secures merchandise by implementing security systems and measures
· Identifies current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with potential and actual customers and other persons in a position to understand service requirements.
· Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements.
· Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
· Determines marketing strategy changes by reviewing operating and financial statements and departmental sales records.
· Maintains operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
· Attend manager meetings and establish good working relationships with owners, managers, and dealership staff to establish sales processes and recommend daily unit sales
· Implement growth strategies that align with group objectives by carefully assessing profit and loss while maintaining vehicle inventory that meets the needs of the local market
· Review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for accuracy and completion before sharing with upper dealership management
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required; a high school diploma or GED equivalent needed
· Three or more years of experience in a sales manager or general manager position for a dealership or auto group
· Knowledge of the automotive tire industry and trends
· Strong communication skills; a track record of leadership; and the ability to interpret profit and loss statements are necessary for success
