Human Resources Manager


Location: Vernon, BC

Salary: Starting from $85,000 per year

Our Vernon, BC client is looking for an Human Resources Manager to add to their organization to oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes.

The job of HR Manager is important to business success. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and programs to support the overall business objectives of the Canadian companies.

  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, training and development, performance management, and offboarding.

  • Ensure compliance with Canadian employment laws and regulations, including but not limited to employment standards, human rights, and health and safety.

  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, including employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.

  • Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to promote a positive and inclusive work environment.

  • Responsible for compensation and benefits administration, including salary benchmarking, benefits enrollment.

  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute workforce planning strategies to meet current and future staffing needs.

  • Maintain accurate HR records and ensure data integrity in HRIS systems.

  • Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives to foster a high-performance culture.

  • This role will oversee HR at multiple locations.

Requirements:

  • Proven working experience as HR Manager or other HR Executive

  • People oriented and results driven

  • Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics

  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills

  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills

  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company

  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices

  • Degree in Human Resources or related field considered an asset

  • Must be able to travel in Canada and USA
