INSURANCE ADVISOR


Location: Kelowna, BC

Position Status: CLOSED

Our Kelowna, BC client, a very well established Insurance company, is currently seeking a Personal Lines Insurance Advisor to join their rapidly growing personal team. A strong work ethic and drive to succeed in a high performing environment will help ensure your success in this role. Experience in issuing certificates, binders, processing renewals and doing new business quotes an asset but they are willing to train the right person.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing service to personal lines clients

  • Providing customers with prompt service by providing advice, discussing customer concerns, including but not limited to walk-ins, emails, and phone calls

  • Entering and updating clients’ information

  • Preparing documentation for insurers; completing applications for new clients; issuing binders

  • Communicating with insurance companies and underwriters regarding policy changes, renewals, and new business

  • Following up with adjusters on claims status

  • Updating of insurance summaries to correspond with current change requests

Requirements:

  • Previous customer service or administration experience with exceptional customer service skills is required

  • 1-2 years of personal lines experience is preferred

  • General Level 1 insurance license is preferred

  • Experience with Epic is an asset

  • Ability to multitask, problem solve, critical think and be detailed oriented

  • Be able to provide prompt and exceptional customer service

  • Able to be proactive and work both independently and as a part of a team

  • Positive and respectful attitude with both clients and co-workers

  • High degree of professionalism and integrity
