SENIOR ARCHITECT
Location: Kelowna, BC

Our Kelowna, BC client are searching for an experienced Senior Architect to join their team. Working as a Senior Architect, you will mentor other Architects, interpret client briefs, and review contracts and designs. To succeed as a Senior Architect, you should display great interpersonal skills and be able to relay important information. You will be working within fully integrated design teams throughout all project phases, from pre-design through to post-construction services.
Responsibilities:
Review and design architectural and engineering plans.
Ensure all plans are compliant with governmental health and safety regulations.
Research and maintain knowledge of various engineering disciplines, application methods, and materials.
Monitor the work of other Architects and making recommendations or scheduling workshops as required.
Provide guidance to subcontractors like builders, plumbers, and electricians, and helping them interpret design specifications.
Liaise with clients to ensure all issues are addressed in a timely manner, and that project requirements are met.
Ensure the team works together to achieve set goals and targets.
Act as a mentor to new Architects and helping them fine-tune their design skills and improve their industry knowledge.
Network and consult with various industry professionals.
Requirements:
Strong Revit, SketchUp, InDesign and Illustrator skills are required, other BIM tools are an asset
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture and/or a recognized institution by the AIBC
An impressive portfolio and several years working as an Architect.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Brilliant interpersonal and networking skills.
Detail-oriented and highly analytical.
In-depth understanding of REVIT, CAD and AutoCAD software.
Deadline-driven and dedicated to excellence.
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Design, or similar.
MA Degree in Architecture or Design might be preferable.
Registered with the AIBC or eligible to register within the province of BC.
