Accounting Administrator
Location: Vernon, BC
Position Status: CLOSED
Salary: Starting from $60,000.00 per year
Our Vernon, BC client has an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Administrator position. Primary responsibilities of this position will be Asset Accounting, Insurance and Prepaids for the groups of companies operating in the USA and Canada, and to support the functions of the Finance Accounting team.
Requirements:
Review and enter Accounts Payable batches and EFT/cheque registers
Credit application review
Prepare monthly and annual sales tax filings for review
Auto and mobile monthly reporting
Track and support maintenance of insurance and property taxes
Recording and reconciling prepaid transactions
Prepare monthly and quarterly property tax and prepaid reconciliations
Preparing accurate monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
Posting entries, maintaining records, and creating reports
Annual 1099 filing
Ad Hoc analysis
Carrying out additional duties as required
Responsibilities:
Accounting diploma and/or a combination of education and experience will be considered as asset.
Problem-solving skills with strong decision-making capability.
Proficient with MS Office and Dynamics AX
Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices and standards.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong team player, willing to help others within the department or within other departments.
To work independently as well as part of a team.
To service both internal and external clients, providing the information they need in an understandable manner and timely fashion.
To put in the extra effort to meet deadlines.
