Accounting/Administrative Assistant


Location: Westbank, BC

Position Status: CLOSED

Our Westbank client is looking to add a detail oriented Administrative Accounting Assistant. The Admin Accounting Assistant will execute both accounting and administrative duties and assist the management team with daily administrative duties. The Administrative Assistant reports directly to the CFO.

Responsibilities:

  • Payroll processing (Payworks).

  • Administrative support, reception, client greeting.

  • Answer general phone inquiries using a professional and courteous manner.

  • Prepare accounts payable vouchers for approval.

  • Post accounts payable invoices, and approved payments

  • Process online cheque deposits to the bank using a teller scanner.

  • Responsible for filing and general office organization.

  • Purchase, receive, and store office supplies to maintain inventory.

  • Enter data into forestry load summary spreadsheet.

  • Assist with compiling reports including monthly, quarterly, and annual deliverables.

  • Assist management with scheduling of meetings and events.

  • Participates in the development and preparation of agendas, attends meetings and records minutes.

  • Coordinate travel for meetings and conferences for staff when requested.

  • Reconciles credit card purchases monthly.

  • Updates and maintains the various corporate websites and social media.

Requirements:

  • Office administration, accounting or bookkeeping experience required.

  • Prior payroll processing experience using Payworks or similar program considered an asset.

  • Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Excellent computer skills

  • Experience with Sage (50 and 100) accounting software and QuickBooks online accounting software preferred but will train.
