Office Manager/Assistant Bookkeeper


Location: Kelowna, BC

Our Kelowna, BC Client is looking to hire an Office Manager/Assistant Bookkeeper to be responsible for the general operation of the office. Duties will include Assisting Bookkeeper overseeing Accounting, Administration, Human Resources and Customer Service areas of the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Company database

  • Assist bookkeeper with year-end preparation for accountant

  • Pull QuickBook Online reports weekly/monthly for President

  • Accounts Receivables: Maintain all customer accounts to remain current in all companies

  • Scanning, sorting and organization of vendor bills

  • Banking: responsible for all banking deposits

  • Process all payables and payments

  • Post bills and expenses in Quickbooks and/or CoConstruct

  • Process bi-weekly payroll, including new hires and terminations (ROE’s)

  • Responsible for Administration and Office Operations

  • Responsible for Customer Service & assist with Client Relations

  • Create + Update Company letters, Policies + Procedures

  • Benefits: manage and maintain benefits programs for all employees

  • Regular employee updates and training

  • Track and manage company insurance including WCB, vehicle, and other insurance policies

  • Answer phones, record messages, and respond to inquiries when appropriate

  • Operate the corporate database including data-input, running general reports, and maintaining data quality with regular backups and restores

  • Type, photocopy, and file all general correspondence, forms and memos

  • Responsible for organization of office

  • Receive and sort mail; sign for deliveries

  • Other responsibilities as required

Requirements:

  • A diploma or degree is considered an asset

  • Bookkeeping and Office management experience considered an asset

  • Strong written communication skills required

  • Excellent computer skills, including a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
