REGIONAL OPERATIONS MANAGER

Our Kelowna, BC based client is looking for an experienced Regional Operations Manager to oversee their business operations across Canada. The regional manager will be responsible for leading and managing daily operations to achieve business goals and maximize profitability. As a regional manager, your duties also include guiding management staff, setting performance objectives, evaluating and optimizing operational performance, ensuring regulatory and company standards are upheld, and preparing operations and financial reports.
To be successful as a regional manager, you should be able to lead and manage people, ensure operations run smoothly, and achieve revenue targets. Should be able to perform efficiently in a high-pressure environment and demonstrate excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Responsibilities:
Oversee an assigned number of Retail Store Managers and Franchisees (5-6 Retail locations) from a specified geographic region
Complete franchise agreements (as applicable)
Oversee operating policies and procedures
Work together with Franchisees and Corporate Store Managers to support them in the achievement of: operating efficiencies, revenue goals, profitability, and customer satisfaction, achieving business goals and revenue targets.
Overseeing daily operations, managing budgets, and setting performance objectives.
Recruiting, training, and supporting general managers as well as conducting regular performance appraisals.
Developing and implementing business, marketing, and advertising plans.
Managing internal and external stakeholder relations and negotiating contracts.
Planning, evaluating, and optimizing operations to be efficient and cost-effective.
Ensuring products and services comply with regulatory and quality standards.
Ensuring company standards and procedures are followed.
Preparing and presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, analyses, and reports of operations and finances.
Dealing with escalated customer issues, incident reports, and legal actions.
Requirements:
5-10 years Franchise/Retail multi-unit management experience
Experience facilitating training within a retail environment
Post-secondary certificate or degree in business or related field considered an asset
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with CRM systems, and project management tools
Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to develop, coach, and build strong relationships with franchisees
Strong operational skills in a customer-service environment
Merchandising capabilities
Valid class 5 driver's license
Ability to travel throughout assigned territory, province and nationally occasionally or frequently depending on requirements
Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a similar field considered an asset
3+ years of management and leadership experience
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent leadership and decision-making skills
Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
