Reserve Fund & Depreciation Planner Analyst

Our Kelowna, BC client, a leader in Real Estate Appraising, is looking to add a Reserve Fund and Depreciation Planner assistant to their busy team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide accurate, complete and timely strata reserve fund and depreciation consultation, advice, and reports to clients.

  • Reports to the Senior Certified Reserve Planner

  • Consult with clients about their reserve fund and depreciation requirements

  • Quote, complete and manage reserve fund, financial model, and depreciation assignments

  • Prepare and proofread reports: work directly with client from draft phase to completion

  • Review, research, analyze and evaluate market, economic and property data, documents and bylaws and other related documents

  • Perform on-site reviews of properties to establish common area and limited common area assets, as well as calculate, quantify and establish replacement cost for all applicable assets

  • Present findings to clients

  • Develop and maintain data and costing research archive and remain current with relevant laws and regulations

  • Prepare material and provide support for Senior Certified Reserve Planner’s participation in business development opportunities such as guest speaking engagements, lunch and learn opportunities, networking events, and additional presentation opportunities

  • Interacts with strata managers, clients (Strata Corporations and Strata Managers), and external contractors and service providers

Requirements:

  • Certified Reserve Planner designation (considered an asset)

  • Diploma/ Degree or equivalent experience

  • Knowledge of building components, construction, and financial documents

  • Strong knowledge of office software

  • Strong critical thinking, analysis and research skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent relationship building and client management skills

  • Ability and interest in mentoring

  • High attention to detail

  • Proficient organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to network and market services as a Reserve Planner

  • Flexible and adaptable

  • Approachable

  • Professional and positive attitude

  • Current valid driver’s license
