Senior Furniture Sales Representative

Our Kelowna, BC leader in the fine home furnishing industry is looking for a friendly and customer service-oriented Senior Furniture Sales Representative to work in their busy and productive store. The Sales Rep will provide knowledge of merchandise to customers, explaining complex features and differences between merchandise and providing purchasing advice to customers, for both in-stock and custom order sales.

While furniture experience is nice to have, it is not required. However, your past experience excelling in high-end retail environments developing relationships with high-end clients will position you well for future roles as a Sales Manager and store General Manager

In this role you will provide knowledge of merchandise to customers, explaining complex features and differences between merchandise and providing purchasing advice to customers.

Responsibilities:

· Maintain knowledge of all vendor products, pricing, options, finishes, details etc.

· Provide knowledge of merchandise to customers, explaining complex features and differences between merchandise and providing purchasing advice to customers

· Assist in the safe maintenance, appearance, merchandising and pricing of store to company standards

· Serves customers by selling products

· Cross Selling products and knowing layout of the store

· Provide superior customer service and support to designers and end users

· Meet or exceed monthly quarterly and annual sales

· Maintain updated customer information

· Ensure that an accurate record of inventory is kept

· Elevate complaints to management

· Utilize computers to complete proposals, prepare sales and lease agreements and obtain necessary information from customer to complete sale/rental agreement

· Determine client's needs and design or recommend furniture for rental packages

· Develop and maintain customer relationships in order to generate future sales opportunities

· Submit customer orders by referring to price lists and product literature

· Promote sales to existing clients

· Identify and solicit potential clients

· Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties and delivery dates

· Prepare or oversee preparation of sales or other contracts

· Consult with clients after sale or signed contracts to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support

· Review and adapt to information regarding product innovations, competitors and market conditions

· May supervise the activities of other sales representatives

Requirements:

· Exceptional track record in retail sales environments

· Experience in “high customer expectation" environments

· Entrepreneurial and team oriented

· Coachable and self-directed learner who is always willing to learn

· High energy “people person", relentless in learning about and pleasing the customer

· Professional, driven, positive, resilient, and achievement-focused

· Detailed, strong follow up and follow through; excellent time-management skills

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills; a great listener

· Computer knowledge is required
